My Story

I was born in Warsaw in 1980. I graduated from the Faculty of Painting at Maria Skłodowska-Curie University in Lublin. I have always drawn and painted. The world of imagination is an endless source of inspiration for me, a colorful, safe, and peaceful world where you can confidently celebrate moments. I most often use acrylic paints, mechanical pencils, fineliners, pens, and colored pencils. I love drawing on paper and wood (especially on my desk). Lately, I've been having a wonderful time creating on stones. With some stones, you immediately know what animal or figure is hidden within; you just need to make it more visible. I've never encountered stones as smooth as those in Iceland; they're wonderful to paint on. Another source of inspiration for me is the hot Mediterranean climate—its light, people, animals, and architecture. Scenes observed during the journey later turn into paintings. The Icelandic climate and landscape are a challenge for me because they consist of colors that I usually do not use and even not seen.

The Icelandic winter, with its harsh aura, shades of black, and mysterious silence, is an incredible experience for me, allowing me to confront the darkest corners of my soul...which I didn't even know existed before...

In turn, the Icelandic summer, after surviving winter, is another incredible experience, with bright nights, a feast of flowers, colors, and birds, and warm rays of sunlight that literally embrace you—all of these things make you unconditionally happy. I think the Icelandic climate so hardens the soul and body that with each winter you experience, you become more grateful for everything and are born anew each year.
